It read: "Rosie O'Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome."

O’Donnell's four-night hosting stint ended on Thursday, August 20, and will be remembered for her pointed gags at Trump, her long-term nemesis.

She set the tone for her TV hosting comeback instantly during her monologue on Monday night’s show, when she began her opening monologue by saying: "If you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live! when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel? Buckle up, people! Buckle up."

O’Donnell continued: "I've been living in Ireland for the past two years because of Mango Mussolini. I read that Project 2025 and said, 'Gotta get myself out of here!' and I decided to go to Ireland where people are driven to drink regardless of who's running their country."

The following night, she compared the president to an Oompa Loompa, while also jokingly thanking Trump for making her famous at the courtesy of their public feud.

Signing off her hosting stint on Thursday, she said: "I've really enjoyed my time here. Thanks to everyone who’s been watching this week, especially the hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House.

"Kind of weird to think he spent more nights with me this week than Melania (Trump)."

She added: "Most of all, I'd like to thank Jimmy Kimmel for inviting me to do this and for reminding everyone that we have the right to free speech in this country, whether Orange Voldemort likes it or not."

She ended the show by singing a critical song to the tune of Danny Boy in her final monologue.

"Oh Donny boy, it's Rosie, Rosie calling. From Hollywood, the Jimmy Kimmel show. Drop that Big Mac that we all know you're holding, because, my dear, I worry for you so," O’Donnell began.

"Poor Donny boy, your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig's a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you bit off more than you can chew."

O’Donnell finished the song with a call for Trump to resign, singing: "But there’s a way to end this drama. It's time to use that stable genius brain.

"Since we all know you'll never be (Barack) Obama, why not resign and make this country great again? Yes, we all know you'll never be Obama. Come on, resign and make this country great again!"

Trump has a long-running feud with O'Donnell.

Ahead of taking the reins as guest host, O’Donnell spoke to Variety, revealing that she was "surprised" to receive the offer from Kimmel given what she called their "adversarial relationship."

"I support (Kimmel) in what he's doing with the First Amendment, and our ability as entertainers and citizens to speak out against our government that’s enshrined in the Founding Fathers’ writings about our government, so I think he's fantastic," O'Donnell said.

"And I wish that Stephen Colbert had the same kind of support when it happened to him, because he shouldn’t be gone either."
