Tory Lanez Fires Back At Man Suing Over Hit-And-Run That Allegedly Left Victim Disfigured
Tory Lanez is attempting to convince a judge to throw out a lawsuit accusing him of being liable over a 2021 hit-and-run.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the pint-sized rapper is moving to dismiss all claims filed against him in Florida court.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, a man named Barry Fine is suing Lanez (real name: Daystar Peterson) and the insurance company AIG.
In the suit, Fine claims he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident involving a car owned by Lanez. He does not accuse the rapper of being the driver of the vehicle. However, he does blame him for loaning his car to the friend who crashed and then fled the scene.
On January 23,, Fine says he was driving around Miami in his 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo. He claims Lanez’s 2016 Range Rover, driven by an unknown individual, caused a “chain reaction rear-end collision striking one vehicle propelling that vehicle into Plaintiff’s vehicle."
Fine says the driver decided to flee the scene. The Range Rover was reportedly found abandoned on 1-95 days later.

The suit says Fine suffered severe injuries because of the accident. He says he not only deals with mental and emotional pain but was dealt with permanent injuries and medical bills.
Fine is seeking more than $30k for the damages.
In newly filed docs, Lanez accuses the complaint of being vague and contains “no ultimate facts regarding the alleged loss” the alleged victim suffered. “Plaintiffs Amended Complaint is vague and ambiguous regarding a claim for diminished value of the Plaintiff’s vehicle and any alleged loss of use regarding same.”
Fine scoffed at Lanez’s motion to dismiss. He claims his complaint had enough information for Lanez to respond. He is asking the court to sanction Lanez for failing to file his response. A judge has yet to decide.
Lanez is also still dealing with his criminal case out in Los Angeles. He is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot after arguing following a party in the Hollywood Hills. He is facing years behind bars if convicted.
The rapper is also being sued by a Love & Hip Hop cast member over an alleged nightclub assault last year.
