Steph Curry's Dad Accuses His Estranged Wife Sonya Of Having Affair With Ex-NFL Player Steven Johnson As Part Of Nasty Divorce

He said Sonya, “began her extramarital affair with Mr. Johnson during the marriage and prior to the date of separation, and she lied to [Dell] each time she cheated on him."

Dell says Sonya is living in a Tennessee home with Steven at the moment. He believes this is reason enough for the court to not award his estranged wife a dime in spousal support.

In response, Sonya denied the claims saying she is not living with the ex-NFL star but they are dating. She denied having an affair. Steph’s mom says the relationship started months after she broke up with Dell in March 2020.

Sonya says Dell knows she is living alone because he was the one who kicked her out of their marital property. She also says it’s funny that Dell wants to accuse her of cheating when he was the unfaithful one throughout their marriage.

Sonya says he had different mistresses throughout their time together. In her docs, Sonya listed Dell’s “marital misconduct” as one of the reasons for the split. She says his close friends and family all knew about the affair.

She said she didn’t want to drop the cheating accusations claiming her holding back the information was “one final act of trying to protect [Dell] and family from possible public exposure and scrutiny."

However, after he accused her of cheating "she was left with no choice" but to respond. The two have been married since 1998. On June 14, Sonya filed for divorce from Dell in North Carolina court.
