All signs point to Sean Penn and his estranged wife Leila George being ready to toss their divorce before it becomes final in court.
On Thursday, the 61-year-old actor and the 29-year-old actress were spotted at Los Angeles International Airport as they were leaving to an unknown destination together.
In the photos, the two appeared close to each other as they kept their heads down to avoid attention. Both rocked a protective mask before walking into the airport.
Penn appeared to be downcast with his signature scowl present in the snaps.
This isn't the first time the couple has been seen together since their divorce was filed. Back in December, the two were spotted partying with Leonardo DiCaprio until 1 AM in Miami.
The reunion is interesting given the divorce has been moving at a lightening speed ever since George filed in October.
In her petition, George noted they had only been married for a year despite having been in a relationship since 2016. During the pandemic, the two decided to walk down the aisle in a low-key ceremony with a small group of friends.
George cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce in her petition. The actress — who is the daughter to actor Vincent D’Onofrio — told the court the date they split was September 29, 2021.
The court documents appear to confirm the two had an iron-clad prenuptial agreement before they walked down the aisle. George asked the court to terminate both of their right to collect spousal support. Child support is not an issue given they have no kids.
In her petition, George also noted she, "has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligation to each party.”
According to court documents obtained by Radar, last month, the two hired a private judge to handle the case moving forward. The decision means all issues will be hashed out of the public eye. The case has had no further movement — which could be due to the parties reconsidering their decision to split.
