Scarlett Johansson Covers Herself In Diamonds For First Red Carpet After Scoring $40 Million In Disney Battle
Scarlett Johansson made her first public appearance since settling her war with Disney over her paycheck for Black Widow, and she looked $40 million richer.
The 36-year-old actress was seen walking the red carpet at the 35th Annual American Cinematheque Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event was honoring the actress' achievements.
Scarlett looked stunning in a fitted white power-suit that featured a diamond-encrusted bustier with a flashy choker necklace and a pair of massive diamond earrings.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, earlier this year, Scarlett slapped her longtime employer with a $50 million lawsuit accusing them of screwing her out of millions by releasing her Marvel spin-off on Disney+. She claimed it caused the film's box office performance to be low which affected the bonuses she worked out in her contract.
The two went back and forth for months. Disney originally decided trashing Scarlett was the best plan of attack. Their first statement reading, "The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney has fully complied with Ms. Johansson’s contract and furthermore, the release of Black Widow on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20M she has received to date."

Eventually, the heat was too much for the studio who decided to reach a private settlement with Scarlett and avoid a messy trial.
Following the deal, Scarlett had to release a note reading, “I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come.”
The Match Point actress walked the carpet with her husband Colin Jost. The couple recently welcomed their first child together in August. Scarlett and Colin started dating in 2017. They got engaged two years later and then got hitched in October 2020.
