Sarah Ferguson has now been vanished from public view for three months, with insiders now telling RadarOnline.com the shamed former Duchess of York has been quietly moving between private retreats – including a stay with Priscilla Presley in the United States – as she rides out mounting scandal.
Ferguson, 66, has not been photographed publicly since December 12, 2025, when she arrived at St James' Palace for the christening of her granddaughter Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.
Sarah Ferguson Steps Back From Public Life

The former Duchess last appeared at her granddaughter’s christening in December.
The appearance came amid renewed scrutiny following revelations about her past links to Jeffrey Epstein and the arrest of her former husband, the ex-Prince Andrew, 66. Since then, Ferguson has kept an unusually low profile, with reports placing her across multiple locations in Europe and the US as she avoids public attention.
A source close to Ferguson told us: "Sarah has very intentionally stepped back from public life, and make no mistake – if she wanted to be seen, she would find a way. This has been a very deliberate decision to remove herself from view while the situation around her continues to unfold."
"She has been quietly moving between several secure and private locations, surrounding herself with people she trusts, including time spent in the United States with Priscilla Presley, where she feels both protected and able to reset emotionally away from the intense scrutiny in the UK."
"This is a full withdrawal from the public eye for now. Sarah's priority is to stay out of the spotlight, avoid adding to the headlines, and give herself space to process everything that has happened without further pressure or attention," the insider noted.
Royal Fallout and Professional Setbacks

Charities, including Ferguson's Trust, have closed amid renewed links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Ferguson's absence follows a series of damaging developments that have affected both her public standing and professional life.
After fresh Epstein-related documents were released earlier this year, several charities distanced themselves from her, while her own initiative, Sarah's Trust, announced it would close indefinitely.
At the same time, reports suggest she has struggled to secure new publishing deals, with proposals for a memoir reportedly rejected by multiple US publishers.
Staying On Her Own

Ferguson visited wellness clinics in Switzerland and Ireland.
Those close to Ferguson said her movements have been carefully managed. She is believed to have traveled to a spa retreat, spent time in Verbier, Switzerland, and visited the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, a facility she has previously described as a "safe harbor" and "safe haven."
More recently, insiders said Ferguson sought refuge in the United States, where she has been staying with Presley. The arrangement is said to have provided her with both privacy and emotional support during a period of intense scrutiny.
Her living situation has also been in flux following her ex-husband Andrew's departure from Royal Lodge. Ferguson, who had continued to share the Windsor property with her former partner despite their divorce, is now said to be considering longer-term arrangements.
Reports indicate she will not be relocating with Andrew to Norfolk, nor moving in with her daughters, Princess Beatrice, 37, or Princess Eugenie, 36.
Uncertain Future for the Duchess

Ferguson has prioritized stability and discretion while mulling her next moves, according to sources.
Attempts to rebuild her public profile appear to have stalled. While Ferguson has long maintained a presence as an author and public speaker, insiders say recent controversies have made new opportunities harder to secure.
A proposed television project involving the late Queen Elizabeth II's corgis was also declined, with representatives confirming she regularly turns down reality television offers.
Those familiar with her situation claim Ferguson's priority is now stability and discretion. Her decision to remain out of the spotlight – and, at times, out of Britain – reflects both the intensity of the current scrutiny and a desire to reset away from public view.
As speculation continues over her whereabouts, Ferguson's prolonged absence has only added to the sense of uncertainty surrounding her next move.
