Robert De Niro grilled his former assistant about her use of his Sky Miles during a deposition as part of their nasty court battle.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, De Niro’s former assistant Graham Chase Robinson was in court this week objecting to the actor’s motion to compel.
As we previously reported, the Casino actor recently accused Robinson of failing to provide answers to questions as part of discovery in the case.
She claims his motion is unnecessary because she recently sat for a deposition. Robinson says she was grilled about allegedly using De Niro’s frequent flyer miles at length.
“At Plaintiff’s deposition, Defendants questioned Plaintiff extensively about SkyMiles access, use, and transfers during her employment at Canal. Thus, Defendants have not shown, nor can they show, any need to compel a further response,” she wrote.
As we previously reported, De Niro and Robinson are facing off in dueling lawsuits. The legendary actor filed his case in 2019. De Niro is demanding $6 million in damages from his former employee.
Robinson started as his personal assistant in 2008 and worked her way up to Vice President of Production and Finance at De Niro’s production company Canal Productions.
De Niro was paying Robinson $300k a year when she resigned.
In court, De Niro claimed Robinson used the company credit card to make lavish personal purchases for herself. He claims she dropped serious coins on hotel rooms and fancy meals.
He also is furious she allegedly used his frequent flyer miles and watched 55 episodes of Friends on the clock.
Robinson denies the allegations. She slapped De Niro with her own $12 million suit accusing him of gender discrimination.
She claims he forced her to endure a toxic workplace and described an incident where he called her a “bitch.” Robinson said De Niro often spoke to her in a “hostile, abusive, and intimidating manner.”
During her depo, Robinson says De Niro also grilled her about her accusation he paid his male personal trainer more than her.
Both suits are still ongoing.
