Miguel & Wife Nazanin Mandi Showed No Signs Of Issues Before Shocking Breakup, Singer Boasted He Was 'Happy' Days Ago
Miguel was acting like he was happily in love with his wife Nazanin Mandi days before they announced they were set to divorce.
Earlier today, the singer and his longtime partner shocked the world by announcing they were going their separate ways after 17 years together.
The two were together for 10 years before the singer popped the question in 2016. The couple got hitched in 2018 in a lavish ceremony.
A rep for the couple released a statement reading, "After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now. The couple both wish each other well."
In the weeks before the split, Miguel was acting like the marriage was going strong. On September 17, he wrote a heartfelt message to his wife on her birthday. He posted a childhood photos of the model with the caption, “happy birthday to the most beautiful woman inside and out @nazaninmandi . Play more than words by extreme.”
Days later, he posted a series of photos with the note, "Things that made me happy lately. shedding skin and making things. Love you." One of the snaps was Nazanin smiling in the lobby of a building.
The last red carpet the two appear to have walked was back in October 2020. The couple were photographed at Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 2.
At the moment, the two still follow each other on Instagram.
While Miguel was making it appear the romance was still going strong, Nazanin hasn't posted about the singer in quite some time. The last time was back in October.
Another clue was in the message she posted on her 35th birthday. "On this day turning 35 all I can think about is just how grateful I am to be here. To be present. To be healthy. To be surrounded by amazing people with no ill intent. To be ever-evolving no matter the obstacles. To finding peace through the chaos. I’m thankful for it all," she told her followers.
Miguel and Nazanin have yet to officially file for divorce.
