Meghan Markle proved her style of summer gardening is anything but down-to-earth, as critics roasted the ex-royal for flaunting a jaw-dropping designer ensemble in a new As Ever promo, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
The 45-year-old sent out a newsletter titled "Summer in the Garden" that included a photo as she wore a luxury dual sweater set and dripped in diamonds while sitting among a bed of growing flowers.
Meghan Markle Wears Luxury Sweaters to Promote Summer Gardening

Markle's 'summer gardening' look was called out for her heavy long-sleeved sweaters.
Rather than debuting fresh content, Markle recycled a photo from her May 11 As Ever "cringe" video relaunch, featuring the Los Angeles native wandering through a manicured garden, sniffing a white flower while clutching a basket brimming with freshly cut blooms.
The close-up made the snapshot appear new to many viewers, showing Markle promoting "summer" in the garden by wearing two nearly identical long-sleeved light blue cashmere sweaters from Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen's luxury clothing brand The Row, which sell for $1,750 and $1,600, respectively, with one slung over her shoulders and tied in the front.
Markle's white Annie Bing trousers were also highly impractical for outdoor gardening, but were a more affordable $100.
Meghan Markle Dripping in Diamond While 'Gardening'

Markle first wore the 'summer gardening' outfit in May for an As Ever spring brand relaunch.
Markle broke the bank with two diamond pieces in her look.
She donned a Logan Hollowell Fortuna Diamond Tennis Necklace around her neck, which costs a whopping $62,950. The former actress also wore her three-carat emerald-cut diamond pinky ring on her right hand, estimated at $65,000, bringing the total cost of her ensemble to almost $132,000.
Except for the ring, Markle included the items on her One Off page in May, an AI venture she invested in the month prior, where she earns a commission if the items are purchased via a tracking code.
'Cosplaying As Jackie Kennedy Has Now Entered the Chat'

Markle was roasted for trying to cosplay former First Lady Jackie Kennedy's sweater set look, while subbing diamonds for pearls.
Critics on Reddit called out Markle's pricey gardening ensemble.
"Because we all grab our diamond necklaces and favorite cashmere sweater before entering the garden and sniffing flowers in 80-degree heat," one person sneered.
"I know I always wear my diamond choker to go out in the heat and cut flowers in a sweater set. She is so Town & Country," a second user snarked.
"For those who actually garden, gardening in the summer is messy, sweaty work. At this time of year, when I'm in my garden, I'm weeding and certainly not wearing cashmere sweaters that I do not own anyway. Her pretentiousness is so annoying," a third user scoffed.
"Cosplaying as Jackie Kennedy has now entered the chat, but she can't even get that right because Jackie wore pearls," a fourth Redditor observed about how Markle wore diamonds instead of the former First Lady's iconic look.
Meghan Markle Urges 'Find The Beauty In Everyday Moments'

Even on her Netflix show, Markle was mocked for wearing plenty of impractical white clothes and jewelry while working in the kitchen.
Markle's accompanying copy was a treacly ode to summer gardens and their relation to her As Ever brand.
"There is a certain rhythm to summer: The first flowers opening in the morning. Herbs gathered for the table. Fruit ripening in the warmth of the day," the message began.
"So many of our products in the As Ever collection began with an appreciation for these simple pleasures, what we planted and grew in our backyard, and the joy that has come from sharing them," it continued.
Markle reiterated her often-used saccharine mantras of "embracing simple pleasures" and "finding joy in ordinary moments," which have been featured frequently in her since-canceled Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, as well as in other As Ever posts.
"This season, we're bringing fresh ingredients to the table, lingering outdoors a little longer, and making sure that we take the time to find the beauty in everyday moments," the message concluded.
