'Good Day New York' Lori Stokes Will No Longer Be Anchor Of Morning Show, Co-Host Rosanna Scotto Staying Put!
June 2 2021, Published 2:28 p.m. ET
Lori Stokes is leaving Good Day New York to move to the network’s coveted evening news — while adored veteran anchor Rosanna Scotto remains as the popular morning show anchor.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com, producers have decided to switch up the current lineup of Stokes and Scotto. The duo has been hosting the morning show together since October 2017 and has seen big success with ratings.
“Rosanna is the best in the business–loved and adored by New Yorkers. She is quintessential New York and is a major factor behind the shows’ huge ratings. There is nothing she can't do from hard news, fashion, entertainment and food segments — all with her no nonsense New York attitude,” said an insider with knowledge of the decision.
"Lori, who is also loved in New York, is much more comfortable focusing on hard news," the insider added.
Sources said producers are currently searching for a male anchor to take Stokes’s spot. They believe the pairing of Scotto with a younger man will spice up the program.

Stokes took over Good Day New York after Greg Kelly left the show. She had just left her job as co-anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning on WABC-TV.
The changeup proves how respected Scotto is in the industry. She has been a lead female news anchor since 1990. Prior to Good Day New York, she anchored the evening news and the 11 am news bulletin.
Scotto has been a co-anchor of the morning show since 2008. She worked with Kelly for nine years before he was replaced by Stokes—and later ended up at Newsmax.
