According to court documents obtained by Radar, on February 14, Kardashian’s powerhouse lawyer Laura Wasser — via her legal assistant Victoria Newberger — informed the court Kanye had been served with legal papers.

The paperwork in question that Ye was served was Kim’s motion pleading for the court to terminate the marital status — which would allow her to become legally single.

In her filing, Kim insists her marriage with Ye is over and there is no hope for them working things out. “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time."

Kim also told the judge that Kanye was refusing to work with her on hashing out a settlement. The two had agreed that she would keep their $50 million Hidden Hills mansion but that was as far as they got.

In the declaration, Kim wrote, “I have been attempting to settle our dissolution with [Kanye] since I filed for divorce in February 2021." She adds, "I have requested several times that [Kanye] agree to bifurcate and terminate our marital status. [He] has not responded to my request."

As a result, Kim is stuck with the divorce being at a standstill until either Kanye shows up to court or the judge grants Kim’s motion.

“[Kanye] and I both deserve the opportunity to build new lives. Therefore, I am asking that my request to bifurcate and terminate our marital status be granted,” she wrote.

Kim’s lawyer filing a proof of service means the reality star is ready for the court to set a hearing on the matter.

The move in court comes after Kanye decided to unleash on Pete on social media over the weekend. He nicknamed him “Skete” and accused him of being a pawn in a bigger media manipulation conspiracy.

On Monday, Kanye leaked text messages between him and Kim. The two discussed the threats that Ye has made against Pete. The reality star made it clear to her ex she was not happy and felt the comments Ye was making were "dangerous."

Ye then posted a message telling his fans not to hurt Pete but to allow him to take care of it.

For her part, Kim claims she just wants a divorce and is happier without Kanye.
