Josh Duggar's Dad Jim Bob Loses It On The Stand While Being Grilled About Son's Past Assaults, Scolded By Judge
Josh Duggar’s dad Jim Bob lost his temper while being grilled on the stand as part of his son’s child pornography case.
On Monday, the prosecutors and lawyers for Duggar were in court fighting over whether Jim Bob and a family friend Bobye Holt could testify in the criminal trial.
The trial is scheduled to start today. According to eyewitnesses in the court, Duggar was hostile and aggressive when he was being asked questions by the government.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Duggar is facing two federal charges related to receiving and possessing child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
If convicted, Duggar is facing 20 years in prison.
Jim Bob was subpoenaed by the prosecution who plan to bring up Duggar’s past assaults. During the hearing, the government asked the Arkansas State Senate hopeful about the 2006 police report involving accusations Duggar had sexually assaulted his sisters when they were sleeping.
The revelations did not come out until 2015 when InTouch Weekly published the report. Prosecutors asked Jim Bob about the topic but he lost it.
During his testimony, Jim Bob claimed he could not remember the details of what Josh said when he admitted touching his sisters.
Jim Bob later called the police report a “juvenile record” and a “sealed case.”
“I can’t remember,” he said when pressed about the report. “Tabloid information,” he labeled the article which exposed his family.
He then turned to the judge to ask, “I'm not going to allow it, are you going to allow for that?"
The judge quickly put him in his place telling him, “If there is [an] objection to be made, someone will make it but it won't be you.”
A decision on whether Jim Bob can testify in the trial.
In the past several weeks, Duggar’s lawyers have tried to place the blame on people close to the former reality star.
The charges were brought after a lengthy investigation into Duggar. The disgusting material was found on a laptop stored at Duggar’s car lot. He is accused of hiding the pornography with a secret program. The password used to access the porn was the same as the one used for Duggar's family Instagram account.
