Jeanine Pirro's Office Failing to Secure Convictions in High Number of Federal Cases — After U.S. Attorney Was Bashed by Trump for Reflecting Pool Loss

It appears Jeanine Pirro has dropped the ball when it comes to securing convictions in federal cases, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The President Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney has had a rough couple of weeks, especially after her boss held her to the fire after she decided to drop charges against U.S. Olympian David Hearn in the Reflecting Pool vandalism case

According to CNN, Pirro's office has failed to get convictions in an "increasingly alarming number" of federal cases in Washington, D.C.

Pirro has apparently struggled to persuade federal juries even in violent crime cases, despite straightforward evidence being presented. In one such case, two alleged MS-13 leaders, Moises Rivera-Luna and Tokiro Rodas Ramirez, were accused of being involved in a conspiracy connected to murders and assaults carried out in the Washington area.

However, two separate juries have failed to convict them. The men were first tried in December, but that ended in a mistrial. Four months later, they were tried again, with the same result.

"I've done this a long time and haven't seen one quite like this one," Judge Royce Lamberth said following the second trial.

This, however, appears to be a running trend, according to CNN. Before the second mistrial, Pirro's office had only secured convictions in four of eight federal jury trials since January. In 12 other cases, two defendants were acquitted, with another four trials ending with deadlocked juries.

"This is not a political case. I think this is a failure of proof and a stubbornness born of desperation on the part of the prosecutors’ office," defense attorney Robert Feitel told the outlet, with other experts branding Pirro's office "embarrassing" for their lack of success.

Rivera-Luna and Rodas Ramirez are scheduled to face a third trial next month. As for Pirro, her job doesn't look to be secure after she heard it from Trump following the Reflecting Pool drama.

Pirro previously alleged that Hearn, a canoeist who last competed in the Olympics in 2000, had "ripped a piece of recently installed sealant on the bottom of the Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial."

However, Pirro would later blame the damage on "over-spraying and delamination." That left Trump fuming as he would rage on Truth Social, "I don’t know what (Pirro) was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other elements of the surrounding area."

He would later call out Pirro's apparent "choke" job while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office.

"I think she choked because the judge was really vicious," the president said. "Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after and went after her department, and I guess she choked. I don't know what the h--- happened."

The 80-year-old then claimed Pirro "folded like an umbrella."

Following the debacle, an insider claimed Trump was considering removing Pirro from her position, as he was left "furious" over the Reflecting Pool case.

"It's highly likely she's removed from her job," a source claimed, as another noted Trump was "blindsided" by the charges being dropped.

Meanwhile, the White House is reportedly urging the Justice Department to consider a new case against Hearn, despite Pirro's decision to drop his charges. The former Olympian's legal team previously filed a motion in D.C. Superior Court, citing "exceptional facts and circumstances" to have the indictment against him dismissed with prejudice.
