Actress Janet Hubert is convinced Alec Baldwin's shooting was a setup to take the actor down for his political beliefs.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star decided to unload last night on social media.
“Am I crazy, but my first thought was Baldwin was given this gun on purpose from someone to get back at him for his Trump impersonations? I have never seen prop guns sitting on set EVER. Then to photograph his pain, and give it to the press! Hmmmm, so very heartless, Trumpers?” she tweet.
Alec is a well-known liberal who mocked Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live before and after the Presidential election. The former President made it clear he was no fan of the actor.
“Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony," Trump wrote after one SNL episode.
"Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent,” he ended.
The actor fired right back at Trump, “Agony though it may be, I'd like to hang in there for the impeachment hearings, the resignation speech, the farewell helicopter ride to Mara-A-Lago. You know. The Good Stuff. That we've all been waiting for."
Alec is still in the middle of dealing with the tragic accidental shooting that took place on the set of his western Rust.
He was preparing for a scene that required him to use a gun. The actor pulled the trigger on the gun he was handed which lead to a “live round” being fired.
Alec was reportedly told the gun was “cold” and did not have any ammo in it. The crew is starting to point fingers at the armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed who reportedly placed the gun in question on the prop table.
Sources claim the gun was used by the crew the night before for target practice nearby. The assistant director Dave Halls was the one who handed the gun to Alec right before the accident.
The police are still investigating the matter and no criminal charges have been filed.
