Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson is a free man after completing his jail sentence.
According to court records obtained by RadarOnline.com, Hickerson was released from the Los Angeles County Men’s Jail back on May 20.
Hickerson had turned himself into the authorities on May 7.
RadarOnline.com obtained photos of Hickerson arriving at the jail facility in May. He looked somber while walking in with his lawyer while wearing an all-black ensemble.
He only served a total of 12 days out of his full 45-day sentence due to a plea deal he worked out with prosecutors.
Following his release, Hickerson will have to complete 52 domestic violence classes and pay a $500 fee. The Nashville star’s ex was sentenced to time behind bars after being accused of being violent with her during their 2-year relationship.
In 2019, Hickerson was arrested after cops responded to a call about the two arguing at their Hollywood home. They observed marks on the actress and arrested Hickerson for felony domestic violence.
The second incident occurred in February 2020. The two were in Jackson, Wyoming celebrating Valentine’s Day. However, he allegedly punched the actress in her face during an argument.
Hayden called the police around 2am pleading for them to come help. Once they arrived, they saw Hickerson pacing outside saying he “beat the f-out of her.” The police say he avoided answering any of their questions.
The officers saw Hayden with a red and swollen face. She told them her boyfriend had thrown her around the bedroom and punched her. Hickerson was arrested and charged with domestic battery and interference with a peace officer.
The Nashville star released a statement after speaking out against Hickerson.
She said, “I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve. I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again. I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life."
