Harry Styles was filmed in a tense exchange with an autograph seeker on a New York City street on Wednesday, October 21, with footage showing the singer speaking animatedly to a man holding a copy of his Fine Line album.
Styles, 32, was wearing a hoodie, baseball cap, and sunglasses when he turned toward the man.
The footage shows the two speaking and appearing to point at one another before a third person stepped between them.

Fans speculated online that the autograph seeker might have planned to resell the signed vinyl for profit.
Footage obtained by TMZ shows Styles facing the man as they exchange words on the street. At one point, the singer appears to point toward the autograph seeker.
Styles eventually walks away, but the man appears to follow him and continue trying to get his attention. A separate clip shows the situation continuing as the pair move along the street.
The identity of the man has not been publicly established. While some online discussion has characterized him as an autograph hunter, there is no confirmed evidence in the footage showing why he approached Styles or what he intended to do with the signature.
Styles has not publicly addressed the encounter, and there has been no official explanation for what led to the exchange.
Autograph Hunters Raises Questions
The man reportedly kept following Styles for several blocks after the singer walked away from him.
The incident attracted attention in part because Styles had recently been filmed stopping to sign an autograph for another person outside Madison Square Garden.
The singer was at Madison Square Garden on October 20 for the New York Knicks' season opener. Video from that night showed him initially continuing toward the venue before turning back to sign for a fan.
The two encounters happened within a day of each other, but there is no evidence that they were connected.
Styles Has Pushed Back Against Crowds Before
A third person stepped between Styles and the autograph seeker, trying to calm the situation down.
Styles has previously been filmed dealing with large groups of photographers and people seeking his attention. In 2023, footage from Barcelona showed him addressing photographers and telling them to "calm down," according to reports at the time.
