Halyna Hutchins' Dad Breaks His Silence, Claims Alec Baldwin Is Not 'Responsible' But Blames 'Props People' Instead For His Daughter's Death
Halyna Hutchins' dad Anatoly Androsovych — whose daughter was accidentally shot by Alec Baldwin on the set of Rust on Thursday afternoon — is speaking out for the first time regarding her tragic death.
The Ukrainian father suggests the actor is not responsible for the tragedy but blames the "props people" instead.
Devastated by the news, Anatoly told The Sun he and his wife are still processing the incident.
"We still can't believe Halyna is dead, and her mother is going out of her mind with grief," he confessed. "But I don't hold Alec responsible - it is the responsibility of the props people who handle the guns."
He continued by expressing his concern over Hutchins' 9-year-old son Andros.
"The little boy has been very badly affected - he is lost without his mother," he added.
Anatoly, who confirmed that Baldwin had been in contact with his son in law Matthew, also revealed that Hutchins' husband "will decide if legal action is going to be taken."
Hutchins' sister Svetlana Androsovych who currently resides in Indonesia, also called out the production for their "negligence" resulting in her sister's death.
"How was this negligence allowed by such a team of professionals? This is just such an absolutely absurd coincidence," she questioned. "I don't know where the investigation will lead, but there are so many guesses. Could this all be a set-up? What was it?"
She also added that "it's just so incredibly hard to live through it."
Svetlana also shared that she and her parents are working hard to organize trips to the U.S. so the family could join Hutchins' husband and son to support them during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

On Thursday, Baldwin pulled the trigger of a prop gun handed to him by the assistant director and accidentally shot Halyna and the film director Joel Souza.
The authorities were called out to the scene at the Bonanza Creek Ranch following the incident.
Halyna was rushed via helicopter to the hospital, where she was "pronounced dead by medical personnel." Meanwhile, Souza was transported to another hospital for his injuries and was released the next day.
Police launched an investigation over the shooting and issued search warrants for the ranch where the filming took place saying the case remains "open and active."
Alec, shocked by the tragedy, issued a statement to express his "sadness" and offer his "support" for Hutchins' family. He joined her husband and her son to attend a private memorial for Hutchins Friday night.
Matthew, who was married to Hutchins for 16 years, paid tribute to his late wife by posting a picture of Halyna and their son saying, "Our loss is enormous.
