Future is set to face off with his baby mama Eliza Reign in court over their 1-year-old daughter Reign.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, the High Off Life rapper's lawyer is asking the court to set a date for trial in the case. The motion comes after the two have been unable to reach a settlement in mediation.
The judge presiding over their dispute ordered the one-time lovers to try to hash out their issues privately. However, the two have expressed their disdain for each other publicly and don't see eye to eye.
Back in 2019, Eliza filed a paternity case against Future asking the court to award her child support. She originally asked for him to cough up $53,000 a month. He dragged his feet for several months before finally responding to the suit.
Lori Harvey's ex-boyfriend didn't take being sued kindly, Future decided to publicly drag Eliza on social media. He blasted her as fame-hungry and accused her of trying to get pregnant by a rich man.
Future even filed a federal lawsuit against Eliza for defamation. She countersued him saying he was lying. In court documents, she said he made false allegations about her sleeping around trying to get knocked up by a wealthy man or that she had mental health issues.
Eventually, Future's lawsuit against Eliza was dismissed.
During the paternity case, Future dragged his feet for several months before finally submitting to a DNA test. The results showed he was indeed the dad to the baby girl.
Eliza is unhappy with the decision and believes the court ruled in error. She says the amount should be considerably higher and is trying to find out information about Future's finances. In the past couple of months, her lawyers have fired off subpoenas demanding the rapper turn over copies of his record contracts and bank statements.
The two could not reach a deal on the child support and will now go before a judge.
