Blindsided? Faith Evans Praised Husband Stevie J Days Before Being Slapped With Divorce Papers
All signs point to singer Faith Evans being completely unaware her husband Stevie J was planning on filing for divorce.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the Love & Hip Hop star filed paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court to end his 3-year marriage on Monday.
The decision appears to be abrupt as Evans was shouting out her husband on social media last week. On his birthday, the R&B legend posted a photo of her man captioned, 'Happy & blessed birthday Mr J! Hurry up, so we can turn up!"
The reality star/music producer even commented on the photo writing, "On my way."
Evan's Instagram profile picture is still a romantic image of her with Stevie.
In the days before rushing to court, Stevie J was out partying for his birthday. He promoted various birthday parties for himself in St. Louis and Henderson, Nevada.
Evans has yet to comment on her husband moving to end their marriage. The romance has shocked the couple's closest friends and family for years.
The two got hitched in a Las Vegas hotel room back in July 2018.

In May 2020, Evans was taken into police custody and booked on charges of domestic violence after a fight with Stevie. The two had gotten into a verbal argument at their L.A. home before it turned physical.
The police report noted officers observed visible marks on Stevie's body when they arrived to the scene. They determined the singer was the aggressor and arrested her.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced they were not pursuing charges only weeks later. They said Stevie J had refused to cooperate with investigators.
Stevie and Evans appeared to have worked out their issues and were getting along publicly for months.
The two did not have any children. Stevie does have children with his exes Joseline Hernandez and Mimi Faust. He fought Joseline in court for years and even convinced a judge to sign off on an arrest warrant at one point.
Evans' is the widow of her first husband Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace. Her second marriage to music exec Todd Russaw lasted from 1997 to 2011.
