'Love & Hip Hop' Star Erica Mena Spotted Without Wedding Ring, Wants Safaree Kicked Out Of Their Home Amid Divorce
Love & Hip Hop star Erica Mena wasted no time in ditching her wedding ring after hitting her estranged husband Safaree with legal papers.
On May 21, Erica filed her petition for divorce in Fayette County Superior Court in Georgia. It only took a day before she took off her diamond-encrusted band.
The following day, before the news of the divorce broke, Erica posted a photo of herself lounging around her home.
She posed for the camera in a way that made sure to show off both of her hands. Erica was clearly making a statement with the snap.
The ring wasn’t cheap either. Safaree purchased matching wedding bands that were covered with over 48 carats of “invisible set baguette diamonds.” The jeweler reportedly spent 2 months to finish the set which is valued at nearly $130,000.
Back in 2019, Safaree and Erica got hitched in a fancy ceremony at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey. The guests included Joe Budden, Remy Ma & Papoose along with several Love & Hip Hop cast members.
Erica is gearing up for a custody war with her estranged husband. In her petition, the entertainer is asking to be awarded primary custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Safire. She doesn't have an issue with Safaree having joint legal custody.

The star believes Safaree should be paying her temporary child support until the outcome of the case. Erica is even asking the court to allow her to use their martial home exclusively and wants Safaree to leave immediately.
Erica isn't playing around with the divorce. She hired a pitbull attorney named Randall Kessler, who is known for handling high-profile celebrity cases. He previously represented NeNe Leakes, Christina Milian, and NFL star Braylon Edwards.
The divorce is a bit of a shock despite the couple's rocky relationship. They are known for airing out their dirty laundry on social media. Neither has ever been afraid of sharing TMI about their ups and downs.
It's unclear if VH1 is currently filming Love & Hip Hop.
