Dr. Dre’s Ex-Wife Pleads With Sheriff’s Department To Help Collect $1.2 Million Owed By Music Mogul In Divorce

Dr. Dre’s ex-wife is asking the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to get involved in helping her collect over a million dollars she claims he owes her per a court order.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, Nicole Young’s legal team filed a writ of execution against Dre seeking to collect $1.2 million they claim to be owed.
As we first reported, Nicole recently filed docs demanding the court order Dre to cough up $4.2 million to her lawyers. The two are in the middle of a nasty $1 billion divorce. Nicole believes she is entitled to half the estate but Dre claims they signed a prenuptial agreement.
Nicole claims they tore up the prenup a couple of years into the marriage. She also revealed Dre and his team cannot locate the original copy of the alleged prenuptial agreement.
Dre’s ex-wife says she needs the $4 million to pay her legal team $551k for work done between July to September 2021. Her request also includes $3.5 million for future legal fees and another $215k for appeal expenses.
Nicole claims she is unable to fight her billionaire ex in court due to his ability to pay for a massive legal team. She believes he is trying to starve her out financially. In court, Nicole said she only has $1 million in the bank and owes her lawyers over a million.
Dre’s ex also accuses him of refusing to pay $1.2 million for past legal fees despite a court order. She says he decided to only pay $300k. “Andre is doing whatever he wants to do because he is an enormously entitled and well-funded litigant who seeks to exact revenge on his former wife by decimating her financially leaving her without legal representation in this case,” her motion read.
Dre claims he wasn’t given credit for money already paid to Nicole and wants the judge to review the matter.
It seems her lawyers — who are owed the money — are tired of waiting around and decided to move the situation forward with the Writ. The document instructs the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to “enforce the judgment.”
The amount owed is $1,224,607 and grows with interest of $335 per day it remains unpaid. The Sheriff’s Department will likely help serve Dre with the paperwork. She then could proceed with levying the judgment against his bank accounts to collect.
Nicole filed for divorce from Dre in July 2020 after 24 years of marriage. She accuses him of carrying out affairs with multiple women during their union.
