DaBaby took the stage for the first time since facing backlash over his disgusting homophobic remarks during Rolling Loud and tried to come for Megan The Stallion.
On Sunday, the 29-year-old rapper performed at Hot 97’s Summer Jam. Before his performance, a prerecorded video was played where he thanked the organizers for allowing him to be there despite everyone else cutting ties with him.
The vile comment that got DaBaby in trouble was said as he performed in Florida with Tory Lanez. He said, "If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two or three weeks, put your cellphone light up.
He proceeded to say, "Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone light up. Fellas, if you ain’t suc-ing di-k in the parking lot, put your cellphone light up.”
Many were also upset with DaBaby for bringing out Tory who is dealing with his own backlash after being accused of shooting Megan in the foot. He denies the claims but is facing criminal charges over the incident.
In his pre-recorded video before Summer Jam, DaBaby told the crowd, “They accepted my sincerity and all my apologies when I said I never, ever meant to offend anybody or say anything to make anybody feel any type of way live on that stage a few weeks ago."
The rapper, who doesn't have a great track record with apologizes, then took the stage only to backtrack off the video. He said, "
"But check this out, other than the people that was truly offended, I feel like the rest of y’all motherfuckers are being cry babies.”
He proceeded to perform Megan's son Cry Baby which he is featured on. The statement on stage is a clear dig at Megan who sources claim was not pleased after Tory showed up to Rolling Loud.
Recently, prosecutors demanded he be found in violation of the court's order over his appearance with DaBaby due to him being close to Megan.
Megan was also very vocal about homophobia in hip-hop days after DaBaby started facing the consequences of his hateful language.
She said, "It is about time. Representation is important, and it is really crucial for us all to have compassion and acceptance of every human."
DaBaby, who doesn't have a lot on his plate after being dropped by big music festivals, recently announced he would performing at Lil Boosie's lil music festival this weekend.
