DaBaby Dropped By Austin City Limits Music Festival One Day After His Third Attempted Apology Over Homophobic Rant

DaBaby continues to lose money as people want nothing to do with him after he trashed people living with HIV/AIDs.
On Tuesday, the Austin City Music Limits Festival announced the 29-year-old rapper will no longer be performing at their event in October.
Back in May, organizers for the event announced DaBaby would be performing along with Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Ellish, Stevie Nicks, and Doja Cat.
The festival organizers without citing the rant released a statement reading, "DaBaby will no longer be performing at Austin City Limits Music Festival — lineup update coming soon."
The decision comes a day after DaBaby was not only axed from New York's Governors Ball festival and a couple of days after he was cut from the Chicago festival Lollapalooza.
The Illinois event organizers released a statement reading, "Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight."
The decision by the Austin City Limits Music Festival also comes a day after DaBaby issued his latest attempt at an apology. Instead of taking to Instagram Live he posted a pre-written statement.
It read, "Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes."
"As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me – knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance – has been challenging," he continued. "I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That's what I needed and it was received," he added.
"I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I knew education on this is important. Love to all," he said.
The backlash against DaBaby comes after he took the stage at Rolling Loud and spewed hateful comments about the LGBTQ+ community plus those who live with HIV/AIDs. He said, "If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”
