‘Train Wreck’: Cher’s Family Concerned After 77-Year-Old Rekindles Romance with AE Edwards, 37, Despite Son's Objections
Cher’s reunion with her former fiancé Alexander “AE” Edwards has her friends and family extremely worried that he’ll take her to the cleaners and break her heart, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Sources close to the situation revealed the 77-year-old Believe singer recently rekindled her romance with the 37-year-old music producer.
The two were seen holding hands following dinner at the trendy Beverly Hills eatery Funke on September 15. They were joined by AE’s buddy, rapper Tyga, as well as Colombian singer J. Blavin and his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer.
Eyewitnesses say Cher looked positively moonstruck with her protective on-again beau. “She’s been blowing up AE’s phone begging for more time together, and he’s agreed, but only on the condition they pace themselves this time around,” a source told The National Enquirer.
“The guy knows exactly what he’s doing, and his best friend Tyga’s in on it too. The fear is they’re going to ride Cher’s coattails for music connections, use her mansion for wild parties, and take full advantage of her credit cards,” said the insider.
As we previously reported, Cher and AE broke up in May after a months-long affair and engagement, but our source said she’s back in “giddy mode” that has her loved ones fearing a hard fall.

A source revealed that Cher broke things off initially due to her concerns about AE but has decided to give him another shot.
“For her kids, Chaz and Elijah Blue, and some of her friends, this is a train wreck that can only end in total disaster,” said the insider. “They’re gently trying to sway Cher to give AE up, but she won’t hear of it. She’s walking on air and won’t listen to anyone.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, sources told the National Enquirer that Cher has been wearing out her young boy toy.
Sources said AE is "frustrated" about how to handle the entertainer’s sexual appetite.
"AE is frustrated and doesn't know what to do," a tipster told the National Enquirer. "Every time he wants to get something done in the studio, she's craving — and demanding — more."
"It's gotten to be a lot for him and, frankly, a burden for the relationship," the insider added.
On top of the family drama over AE, Cher has been attempting to help her son Elijah, who has been struggling with addiction issues.
