Britney Spears Already Drafting Prenup Hours After Engagement, As New Fiancé Sam Asghari Cracks Joke About Protecting His Assets
Don't worry, Octavia Spencer; Britney Spears is reportedly already thinking about a prenuptial agreement.
The second the 39-year-old pop star announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari, protective fans – including the Oscar-winning actress – began encouraging Spears to make Asghari sign a prenup.
According to reports, Britney's camp started taking steps to get the protective document drafted almost immediately after the 27-year-old fitness expert popped the question in a surprise, at-home proposal on Sunday.
After all, the singer's net worth is estimated to be around $60 million.
Hilariously, though, the celebrity trainer had already assured his 2 million Instagram followers that he was pro "an iron clad prenup" in order to "protect my jeep and shoe collection incase [sic] she dumps me one day."
After both Spears and Asghari announced the happy news on Instagram with respective posts, the latter's talent manager, Brandon Cohen, told Page Six all about the stunning ring.
"The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them," said Cohen. "Roman Malayev from NYC is the ring designer. He couldn't be more happier [sic] to be involved and make this a one-of-a-kind ring."
Brandon explained the diamond is a 4-carat round brilliant that rests inside a platinum cathedral setting, which features a floating solitaire design. The massive sparkler also has Sam's nickname for Britney, "Lioness," engraved inside the band.
"I can't f--king believe it!!!!!!" the singer captioned her announcement, which was a video montage featuring snippets of her showing off her new jewelry.
"Look at that," said Sam, who was seen smiling. "You like it?"
"YES!" Britney exclaimed, after giving him a big kiss.
For his part, the husband-to-be posted a photo of Spears holding her ring finger up to the camera, while she and Asghari locked lips in the background.
"My phone exploded today!" he later wrote on his Instagram Story. "Thank you for the overwhelming love and congratulations! We both love every single one of you!"

Sam almost ruined his own surprise on Friday when he posted and deleted photos of the engagement ring to his Instagram Story, later claiming his account had been "hacked" and that the ring was "photoshopped." He urged excited fans to "calm down."
The alleged "hacking" came a little over a week after Asghari was spotted shopping at a jewelry store in Beverly Hills, so no one really bought his excuse.
The good news for Britney just keeps on coming! Last week, her father, Jamie Spears, filed to end his longstanding conservatorship of his daughter.
According to court documents, the 69-year-old attributed his sudden change of heart to "recent events related to this conservatorship," noting that because the singer was recently able to hire her own attorney (Mathew Rosengart), she "presumably has capacity to handle other contractual and business matters."
As for Britney and Sam, the two have been dating for almost five years after first meeting on the set of her 2016 music video for Slumber Party.
Sam will be her third husband.
In 2004, the pop star was married to her childhood pal, Jason Alexander, for only 55 hours. Later that year, she said "I do" to one of her backup dancers, Kevin Federline.
Jamie was named Britney's main conservator in February of 2008 after she had a public breakdown following her 2007 divorce from Kevin, with whom she shares her only two children: sons Sean Preston Federline, 15, and Jayden James Federline, 14.
