Britney Spears' Boyfriend Sam Asghari Wears #FreeBritney Shirt Ahead Of Conservatorship Showdown With Singer's Father Jamie
Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari believes the pop star should be let out of her 13-year conservatorship.
The 27-year-old actor decided to make his feelings very clear hours before Britney is set to speak for the first time in court.
He posted a photo of himself wearing a “Free Britney” shirt. The #FreeBritney supporters believe the conservatorship is a sham. They accuse her father Jamie of keeping her in it to make sure his profits stayed lined.
Jamie is currently paid $16,000 per month for his services related to managing his daughter's finances.
Back in February, Sam publicly trashed Britney’s father in a nasty message posted on social media. Britney’s man said he had “zero respect” for Jamie and wanted nothing to do with the man.
He wrote, “Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.”
“In my opinion, Jamie is a total dick. I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom,” he said.

Britney and Sam have been dating since 2016 after meeting on the set of her music video for “Slumber Party.” She seems to care for Sam and often posts sweet messages about him on her accounts.
Later today, Britney will have a chance to talk to the judge in her case for the first time. It is the first time she has asked to talk for herself.
Britney appears to be gaining momentum ahead of the hearing. Earlier this week, The New York Times obtained sealed documents revealing the singer's repeated attempts to have Jamie removed.
Her court-appointed attorney previously accused Jamie of having a drinking problem and doubted his ability to properly manage Britney's finances.
Britney said she fears her father and refuses to work until he is gone. The court has refused to listen to her pleas and has kept Jamie in control for over a decade.
The court appearance today seems to be the first step in Britney's plan to free herself.
