Another reality star gone too soon.

Alexis Eddy from the hit MTV show Are You The One? died Thursday, and now the reality star's grandmother tells RadarOnline.com exclusively the cause of death was an overdose.

According to Eddy's grandma, Carol Efaw, the reality TV star succumbed to addiction early Thursday morning, on January 9, 2020.

"My son and daughter-in-law are devastated," Efaw, 68, said. "Alexis was a lost soul."

"Those shows mess up kids," Efaw added, claiming the show encouraged her addiction.

Eddy took to Instagram in the last several months to show people her recovery process. Just in September, she posted a photo alongside her dad, Denzil, with the caption:

"Here’s the first picture of my father and me, both sober and healthy, we’ve ever been blessed enough to take. Overwhelmed with gratefulness today"

"It was an OD," her grandmother claimed as she held tears back. "She caught a hold of it again."

"She is not hurting anymore at least."

According to reports, police arrived at Eddy’s Mannington, West Virginia home to respond to a call that a female was in cardiac arrest. While no foul play is suspected, police are waiting for a toxicology report to determine her official cause of death.

She appeared on season 6 of MTV’s reality dating competition in 2017. Fans may remember the brunette beauty revealing on-camera that her cousin was a convicted murderer during the season.

Eddy was 23 years old.
