Sitch is finally free! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been released from Federal Correctional Institution at Otisville after serving an 8-month sentence, RadarOnline.com can exclusively confirm.

Sorrentino, 37, was released from FCI Otisville on Thursday, September 12 at around 8:10am, a source told RadarOnline.com.

The insider added that MTV vehicles were following the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star as he left the prison.

He served an 8-month sentence on tax evasion charges.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Sorrentino’s final day in prison consisted of completing paper work, going through an identification process, changing his clothing and more.

Although Sorrentino is out of prison, he still has rules to follow.

He will have 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service after his discharge.

Sorrentino married Lauren Pesce in November 2018. She has stood by his side throughout his legal troubles and has been supporting him via social media during his sentence.

The MTV star's sentencing and arrival to Otisville aired on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

On Instagram live on his way to prison, he gave an emotional farewell to his fans.

“I want to put this behind me and move forward,” he said in the video. “The comeback is always greater than the setback… The Situation will reveal himself in 2019. Currently under construction, but will be revealed. Under new management now. There is nothing more to say. Just take me to jail.”

Sorrentino’s older brother Marc is currently serving a 2-year sentence at New Jersey’s Fairton FCI.
