Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino won’t be spending the summer of 2019 at the Jersey Shore! RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the jailed reality star’s official release date.
According to Federal Bureau of Prisons, Sorrentino’s release date is September 13, 2019.
But fortunately for the MTV star, he may not serve the entire sentence behind bars.
Federal Prison Consultant and Expert Dan Wise exclusively told RadarOnline.com Sorrentino, 36, will likely get an early release from Otisville.
“On such a short sentence of 8 months they will send him to a halfway house for two to three months at the end,” Wise claimed. “Because of who he is, he may even get home confinement.”
As RadarOnline.com broke, Sorrentino checked into FCI Otisville on Tuesday, January 15.
Wife Lauren Pesce gave an update on Sorrentino over social media.
“Mike would like to thank all of his fans worldwide for the unbelievable outpouring of love & support,” she tweeted on behalf of her husband. “We speak everyday & he’s doing great.”
She continued, “He’s received thousands of letters, he won’t be able to respond to everyone but wanted to express his gratitude to each and every one of you. Thank you from the both of us; it is truly heartwarming to have this support during this time.”
She ended the statement with, “Lots of Love, Michael and Lauren Sorrentino.”
Sorrentino was sentenced to 8 months in federal prison in October 2018. He will have 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service when he’s released.
As for his brother Marc, who was sentenced to two years in prison, he checked into FCI Fairton in New Jersey. His exact release date has not been listed.
