Britney Spears' famous father is currently under investigation by police after allegations of child abuse against the singer's 13-year-old son, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

The pop star's ex husband and father of her two children Kevin Federline filed a police report on August 25 at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, alleging battery on his minor son, Sgt. Marta Bugarin, spokeswoman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office revealed to RadarOnline.com.

Sources claim Kevin accused grandfather Jamie Spears of abusing his teen son Sean after an incident that allegedly occurred at Jamie's home in Thousand Oaks the day before.

“Mr.Federline alleged the grandfather battered one of the son’s on Aug.24, I believe the 13-year old,” Sgt.Bugarin said.

Britney allegedly removed the children immediately from Jamie and brought them back home, where they later stayed overnight at Kevin's.

Investigators have allegedly interviewed everyone involved in the incident, and plan to submit the case to Ventura County District Attorney's Office tomorrow.

Jamie has not been arrested, and it will be up to prosecutors to investigate the allegations and file any possible charges, Bugarin said.

Meanwhile, according to documents obtained by US Weekly, Kevin filed a restraining order as his attorney, Mark Vincent-Kaplan, demanded the kids be protected from Jamie.

The two went to court on August 27 for an emergency hearing to seek a restraining order against Jamie. The order was granted with no opposition from Jamie and prohibits the grandfather from coming near Preston and his brother, Jayden James, 12, for three years, a third source told the outlet.

The conditions of the order also state that an adult Kevin approves of must be present whenever the boys are with Britney, according to the source, and it can’t be Jamie.

“Britney had the boys at Jamie’s condo on the evening of August 24. Jamie and Sean Preston got into an argument. Sean Preston felt unsafe and locked himself into a room. Jamie broke into the room and shook Sean Preston,” an insider told the site.

“Jamie has a temper, which is no secret to anyone in the family,” another informant told Us. “Fortunately, Britney did the right thing and took her boys to safety and away from her father. The whole incident was very upsetting to her and her boys. Kevin was and still is furious.”

“Preston was not physically injured but very scared and shaken up," the source added.

The allegations of abuse comes on the heels of Britney and her ex-husband having come to a custody arrangement for their two sons.

In court papers obtained from Superior Court of Los Angeles, a Stipulation and Order Regarding Modification of Child Custody was filed on Wednesday, August 28.

A source confirmed to RadarOnline.com that Federline, 41, will receive Sean and Jayden 70 percent of the time, while Spears, 37, will have them for the remaining 30 percent.
