Selena Gomez is back to work and recording new music, one year after her scary breakdown.
This Thursday, August 29, the “Back To You” singer, 27, teased the exciting news on her Instagram story by sharing photos and videos of her in the studio.
“Just so you know, I see your comments and I’m working on it,” she captioned a boomerang from inside the sound studio.
RadarOnline.com readers know Gomez’s latest single, “I Can’t Get Enough,” was released this February, as a collaboration between her, Benny Blanco, J Balvin, and Tainy.
Prior to that, in 2018, she released “Back To You,” which fans quickly assumed was an ode to her on-again-off-again romance with Justin Bieber.
Her return to the studio comes after two years of tragedies for the singer. RadarOnline.com readers know that in 2017, Gomez was forced to get a kidney transplant due to complications with her lupus. It was her best friend and roommate at the time, Francia Raisa, who donated the organ to her, only to cut off their friendship soon after, when Gomez recovered and began partying again.
Around the same time, Gomez got back together with Bieber, 25, but following a string of PDA-filled dates, the two called it off, and the “Sorry” singer married longtime friend Hailey Baldwin!
Weeks after photos of Bieber and Baldwin, 22, kissing were exposed last year, Gomez had a mental breakdown. Sources explained that a doctor’s appointment did not go as planned, and she began to worry about her declining health. At that point, she voluntarily entered a treatment facility.
Now, Gomez seems to be doing better than ever. In recent months, the pop diva has returned to the spotlight, come back to life on Instagram, and been pictured looking happy with friends all over the world. Plus, it seems she’s finally ready to hop back to the top of the music charts.
