Jeff Lewis & Gage Edward Reach Temporary Custody Agreement After Nasty Split

Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward have finally reached a temporary custody agreement in their bitter divorce battle, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Lewis, 49, and Edward, 35, split nearly five months ago and have been at war over many aspects of their relationship. Most importantly, the two have not seen eye to eye on custody arrangements for their daughter, Monroe, 2.
But things appeared to look up for Lewis, who talked about the exes' most recent court appearance on his SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live.
"So we walk in and Gage was there,” Lewis recalled on air. “It wasn't like he was friendly but he wasn't rude. He was sitting kind of across the courtroom from me.”
After listening and comparing his situation to the domestic violence, child abuse, child endangerment cases around them, Lewis said he started “putting things into perspective” before he and Edward's lawyers made an attempt to settle things.
“Thank God Gage's attorney came over to my attorney and was like, ‘Hey, can I talk to you outside?',” Lewis said. The lawyers then made a proposal to work on a temporary custody agreement until their future court hearing, but that particular experience actually turned him off from wanting further check ins in a public courtroom.
"Now I don't want to go to court anymore because I said, 'Um, I don't think we belong here,” the radio personality reasoned.
Lewis then requested to have a one-on-one with Edward.
“Gage agreed and they put us in a mediation room and we sat for probably about an hour, " Lewis explained adding with a laugh, "It's because he left his inner child at home and because I left Jeffrey in the car."
Because we did not bring our inner children to court we were able to sit down like adults and we were able to talk things through and we came up with a temporary schedule that works for the both of us.”
Now, according to Lewis, the two have signed a temporary legal agreement and are scheduled to see a private judge on October 3rd.
The reality star added that he and Gage actually got along.
“We were kind of like, laughing a little bit and I think he had sent me a text later saying ‘I really appreciate it.’ I texted him later in the evening about other things,” Lewis said. “Things at the moment are really good.”
Lewis added: "I was very much relieved because my biggest concern is Monroe and I feel like this schedule works for her.”
As readers know, Lewis previously took accountability for his role in their downfall. RadarOnline.com exclusively learned Edward had no intentions of reconciling their relationship.
In fact, a source exclusively told RadarOnline.com his plans were instead to immerse himself in the dating world.
“The truth is that Gage is dating again and he is going to continue dating because he is single and is allowed to date,” a close friend of Edward’s told RadarOnline.com.
