Jeff Lewis and his ex Gage Edward have lawyered up to fight for custody of daughter Monroe and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Edward is "ready to take this to court!"
"Gage only wants joint custody of his daughter like they discussed and he doesn't want Jeff to be involved in his life whatsoever," a source close to Edward said.
"Jeff thinks this is about money and that Gage needs his cash, but the truth is that Gage does not need anything from Jeff."
As fans know, after splitting five months ago, Lewis, 49, and Edward, 25, have not seen eye-to-eye on many different aspects surrounding their breakup.

On Tuesday, June 18,Lewis revealed to his fans on his Sirius XM radio show Jeff Lewis Live that he and Edward met with lawyers recently to discuss 50/50 custody of their two-year-old daughter.
"I thought that this meeting was going to be about custody arrangements. We're going to talk about financial support. We're going to handle it all and move forward," Lewis said on his talk show, shown in the video clip above.
Instead, Lewis claimed that the two ended up spending "the entire time talking about visitation for a single week and it was never resolved."
Lewis also added that, during the meeting, the attorney's had to separate the two men.
"He couldn't keep it together. He was so angry and irrational that they had to move him into another conference room," Lewis continued.
However, a source close to Edward told RadarOnline.com a much different side to the story and claimed that "Jeff is trying to use Monroe as a pawn so that he can get to spend more time with Gage!"
"Gage isn't the one who is being unreasonable in this situation. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Jeff is putting Monroe in the middle and Gage is f****g sick of it. He is sick of his b*****t all together," the source told RadarOnline.com.
"It is just really sad that it has gotten to this point because Gage honestly thought that he and Jeff would be able to do this co-parenting thing without any serious issues. Gage now knows he was wrong."
