Watch out Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson is writing a tell-all memoir!
After decades in the spotlight, the “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer has revealed she’s publishing a book about her life — the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
“I have been approached many times over the years about writing a book. It never felt right to me until this very moment,” Simpson, 39, told PEOPLE. “I have always felt that one of my God-given purposes in this life is to inspire people.”
The memoir will be published this February, and promises to deliver “love, laughter, tears and truth contained in every page.”
“I hope that by telling my whole story and not holding back I can help move people to walk through their fears and defeat their challenges, as I am working hard to do every day with mine,” Simpson said.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Lachey, 45, and Simpson were married from 2002 to 2006, after which they both went their separate ways. Lachey married BH90210 star Vanessa Minnillo in 2011, and Simpson married NFL star Eric Johnson in 2014.

When announcing her upcoming book, Simpson — who turns 39 this July 10 — said she will reveal surprising details about her family life. RadarOnline.com readers know that includes her and Johnson’s three kids: Maxwell, 7, Ace, 6, and 3-month-old Birdie.
According to the press release, Simpson’s memoir will touch on her time on Newlyweds with then-husband Lachey, as well as on their dramatic divorce. She’ll also write about her romance with Johnson, 39, their marriage, and their growing family.
After living most of her life in the spotlight, the singer-turned-designer will talk about how she “consistently shattered all expectations of who she was supposed to be.”
“I have been working on my memoir for a while now with HarperCollins and I am really proud of it,” said Simpson. “I think people will be surprised by a lot of what they will read. I can’t wait to share it.”
