Though she was expected to be a guest of honor at Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's wedding later this month, Lisa Vanderpump will not be attending the Kentucky nuptials as she grieves the tragic death of her mother, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
"Lisa will not be able to go to the wedding," a source told RadarOnline.com, adding that the soon-to-be newlyweds and the VPR cast are understanding about her missing the June 29 event and other future filming commitments.
"They have reached out to send their condolences, and accept she needs to step away from filming the show right now so she can attend to her family."
In addition to flying to England to help plan her mother's funeral, Lisa, 58, didn't want to spoil Jax, 39, and 30-year-old Brittany's big day, the source explained: "She doesn't want their special time to be overshadowed."
As to be expected, Jax and Brittany's fairytale wedding will be filmed by VPR cameras, and the entire main cast will attend. (Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Kristen Doute, Ariana Madix, Stassi Schroeder and Scheana Marie are all bridesmaids.)
Lisa had also planned to attend World Pride events in New York City on June 30, the source revealed, but will also be skipping the festivities.
"Lisa loves and supports the LGBTQ community, but knows that they will understand," the source said.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Lisa is heartbroken after her mother, Jean Vanderpump, died suddenly at 84, just one year after her brother Mark's suicide at just 59.
"She's absolutely devastated at losing her mother when she is still grieving over the loss of her brother," her rep told RadarOnline.com.
