Artie Lange will be released from jail at the end of the week and head back to rehab, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
The 51-year-old troubled comic appeared at the Essex County Superior Court on Monday morning, June 10. Judge John l. Gizzo determined that it would be best for the funnyman to continue with a court-ordered program.
"He will remain in the Essex County Jail, which is located in Newark, until the end of the week when he is expected to be moved to a treatment facility for a variable length stay," a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor told RadarOnline.com. "He will continue in Drug Court probation."
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Lange was arrested after he was non-compliant with his probation agreement, which stemmed from a 2017 arrest for heroin and cocaine possession. Though he recently claimed to have 100 days sober, he has publicly struggled with addiction for decades.
While in jail, Lange suffered from diabetes complications and had to have medical assistance several times.
In his latest disturbing mugshot, Lange's nose looked completely flattened, which he has claimed was caused by a brawl with a bookie.
