Anderson Cooper’s mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, has died, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The TV star announced the sad news on CNN this Monday, June 17.

"Gloria Vanderbilt was an extraordinary woman who loved life and lived it on her own terms. What an extraordinary life. What an extraordinary mom. What an incredible woman," he said.

Gloria, a fashion designer and heiress was 95 at the time of her death. Anderson, 52, said she had a very advanced form of stomach cancer, which spread earlier this month.

Anderson’s tragedy comes decades after he was forced to mourn the deaths of his father, Wyatt Cooper, and brother, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper.

Carter committed suicide by jumping out of his mother's East Side apartment in 1988 after being treated for depression.
