Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made it clear they’re living their own lives despite their ties to the royal family. As RadarOnline.com has learned, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently unfollowed Prince William and Kate Middleton on Instagram!
The petty move comes months after the four began feuding over the family’s aversion to Meghan, 37. RadarOnline.com readers know the former Suits actress has been deemed a “diva Duchess” by royal insiders, and has rubbed traditionalists like Wills, 36, and Kate, 37, the wrong way by defying royal traditions.
Starting her own Instagram account with Harry was a bold move to begin with, and now on top of that, the parents-to-be have unfollowed everyone from the royal family, starting with Kensington Royal!
Victims included Clarence House (the account of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall), Princess Eugenie, Prince Andrew and even The Royal Family (which represents Queen Elizabeth and other members of the family).
Starting off following 23 people, Meghan and Harry, 34, are now following just 16. In a new post on their Instagram, they explained that the lists consists solely of organizations that work to “promote mental well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care, and the importance of human connection.”
They explained that this May — Mental Health Awareness Month in the U.S. — they will follow only these organizations, and each month they will change their following list to reflect charities and organizations surrounding a different cause.
“Each month we will honour this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause. Please go to our homepage and click ‘following’ to see each of the select accounts and find out more about their work,” they wrote in the caption.
They did not reveal whether they will follow the royals back when the month is over, but fans are anxious to know if this is simply an excuse to set away from Wills and Kate amid their feud.
As they prepare to welcome their royal baby, Harry and Meghan have settled into their new home, Frogmore Cottage, and have split court with Wills and Kate in order to pursue their own passions.
