Scandal -scarred Lori Loughlin has friends fearing she will take her own life as she faces up to 40 years behind bars for allegedly bribing her kids’ way into college!
“I believe Lori is suicidal,” said one terrified friend of the former Full House star. “She’s having a complete mental breakdown.”
In a shocking world exclusive, RadarOnline.com has learned the disgraced sitcom diva has been popping pain pills to combat blinding headaches, refusing to eat and wandering her house during sleepless nights.
Panic-stricken over the looming reality of decades in prison, Loughlin also blames her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, for convincing her to not take a plea deal, a source said.
Insiders said Giannulli, 55, had convinced Loughlin they’d done nothing criminal and that authorities would focus on William “Rick” Singer — the admissions consultant lawmen said was paid $500,000 to get daughters Isabella, 20, and Olivia, 19, into the University of Southern California.
Instead, prosecutors have slapped the couple with additional charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit fraud.
“When Lori heard the number of years she could spend in prison, she broke down sobbing,” said another insider.
One prominent defense attorney RadarOnline.com consulted believes the actress has good reason to cry.
“Any decent lawyer would tell them that they don’t have a hope or a prayer of winning their case,” the source said.

Dr. Carole Lieberman, a therapist who has not treated Loughlin, believes the 54-year-old actress had become “deluded by her own stardom.”
The high-profile parents, who have a combined $100 million fortune and live like royalty in a $20 million Bel-Air mansion, have been battling behind closed doors while the press has set up camp outside their ritzy estate.
Loughlin’s even pointed a finger at their daughters for not stepping up in school and forcing her to grease the admissions fixer.
“Lori would do anything to ensure her kids got the best opportunities,” the insider said. “But now that she’s facing decades in a prison cell, she’s livid that they didn’t do more to help themselves. She and the girls are at each other’s throats.”
The drama has pushed Loughlin to the verge of collapse, said one insider.
“Lori finally realizes her whole world has crumbled around her,” said the source. “The fear is she may take it out on herself — in a frightening way!”
