Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones frontman and rock legend, is to undergo heart valve replacement surgery at 75.

As has learned, the procedure will take place this week in New York and the singer is expected to a make a full recovery.

Due to the star's sudden health crisis, the Rolling Stones have postponed their United States and Canada tour. This Saturday, March 30, they shared a Twitter statement saying doctors prohibited Jagger from performing, as he is in need of further medical help.

The rocker himself then addressed the incident.

"I'm so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this. I'm devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone," he tweeted.
