Brad Pitt is ready to spend his summer as a stay-at-home dad, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
The Oscar-winning actor has been refusing offers to work in June after his plans to film World War Z didn’t work out. Instead, he wants to spend time with his children.
“Brad had this time blocked off to make the World War Z sequel and now that it’s fallen apart, he's decided not to take any other jobs and just be close to his kids for the summer," a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
“He’s desperately trying to use this opportunity to rebuild his relationships with Maddox and Pax in particular and wants to bond with them over their new interest in sports and motorcycles, especially after being restricted to just hanging out at his Los Feliz compound for the past few months,” the source continued.
Readers know that Pitt, 43, and Angelina Jolie, 55, have been going through a nasty divorce and custody battle for years.
At one point, according to exclusive RadarOnline.com reports, the tension between the estranged couple was so bad, Pitt wasn’t photographed with any of his children in public for 900 days.
Now that he is free from work and from his marriage via a bifurcated judgment, he’s determined to work on his relationships with his children.
“There was a time that Brad couldn’t imagine not making this movie but this has turned out to be a blessing,” an insider exclusively shared with RadarOnline.com. “ Just as Angelina is picking up a whole load of acting gigs, Brad is seeing it as an opportunity to slow down and be the kind of dad he always wanted to be.”

Pitt’s time with the kids comes following exclusive RadarOnline.com reports that Jolie was moving to England with her children for a role in a Marvel movie that will be filming for six months.
“It remains to be seen if Brad Pitt is going to be available to be in London during that period to fulfill his duties as a co-parent,” a source said at the time.
An insider said “he’s finally got the chance to catch up on lost time and can’t wait to take the kids on all kinds of day trips.”
Whether he’ll be spending quality time with his children in England or Los Angeles remains to be seen.
