Meghan Markle's estranged half-brother Thomas Jr. has been busted for DUI, Captain Tim Fox of the Oregon State Police confirmed to RadarOnline.com.
The troubled sibling of the royal was cuffed and taken into custody Friday at 1:33 AM after cops performed a field sobriety test and noted his impairment was obvious.
"We arrested a Thomas Lane Markle Jr. about 1:30 am on highway 238, down in Josephine county. His BAC Blood Alcohol content was .11 percent, .08 is the legal limit," Captain Tim Fox said.
The 52-year-old, who is the son of Meghan's father Thomas Sr., was driving by Oregon State Police, who stopped him and noted he was visibly intoxicated.
His Chevy Silverado was impounded and he was then taken to the Grants Pass Sobering Center.
Thomas is no stranger to run-ins with the cops. He was arrested in January 2017, he was arrested for domestic violence after holding his girlfriend at gunpoint during a drunken fight.
Readers know, Meghan is estranged from her entire family apart from mother Doria Ragland.
In a series of exclusive interviews conducted with RadarOnline.com, Thomas Jr. opened up about their estrangement, claiming that his half sister didn’t even have the courtesy to call her ailing father after he suffered his heart attack just days before her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
“What daughter doesn’t go see their father after a heart attack!” her bitter brother claimed, adding troubled dad Thomas Sr. is “upset” that his relationship with his daughter was “completely over” after she “brushed him off.”
Thomas Jr. told RadarOnline.com exclusively their father saw the estrangement coming. After she she got her big break on Suits he was “afraid he would never see her again” — and he was right, claimed the brother. “I think my dad was really hurt he finally realized she didn’t need him anymore.”
