The insider told Radar exclusively the man was contacted by authorities after he was caught on camera exiting the downtown venue with Ambrose. "No charges have been filed at the moment," added the source.
Ambrose hasn't been seen since she left Hennessy's Bar, on Union Street, just after 11 p.m., the family said.
Ambrose, who has blue eyes and curly brown hair, was last seen wearing a white and gray pea coat, a red corduroy dress and Doc Martins boots.
Boston detectives met with the family at the bar Monday, where they reviewed surveillance video to look for clues.
"Anything at all. Even if they don't think it is relevant, it might be. We just want to have her get in touch with us or somebody get in touch with us. We just want to hear from her and have her home," Ambrose's mother said.
