Duchess Meghan Markle is counting down the days until her mother Doria Ragland visits her again in the UK because she's her secret weapon as her feud with the royals intensifies, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

"Doria was very happy when the royals were rolling out the red carpet for her daughter, but if she feels they're mistreating her in any way she'll come flying to her defense with all guns blazing," a source told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com has reported, tension between Prince Harry's wife, 37, and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, 36, has been growing, with Markle recently being accused of stealing Middleton's fashion styles and spotlight.

Now, with pregnant Meghan expecting her first child soon with Harry, mama Doria, 62, is ready to swoop in, planning to spend a lot more time with her daughter and grandchild.

"She's a very protective, down-to-earth person who won't be fazed by anyone's status – even the Queen's," the source noted. "Meghan knows this of course, and it's a huge source of comfort her very own Mama Bear is ready to leap to her defense."

Doria and Meghan are still feeling the effects of her mom's royal holiday snub. After at first seemingly being invited to spend Christmas with the Queen and family, Doria instead spent a quiet holiday at her home in Los Angeles.

As Meghan continues to spark diva rumors, she's crying out for the support and encouragement only a mother can give, according to RadarOnline.com's source.

"She feels very much like she's in the lion's den right now and needs all the help she can get!"
