As RadarOnline.com first reported exclusively, Carrie Ann Inaba will be Julie Chen’s replacement on The Talk.

Inaba made her official debut Wednesday, Jan. 2, joining Eve, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. Throughout the past two seasons, Inaba, 50, has appeared as a recurring guest co-host on The Talk.

Chen publicly supported Inaba in a videotaped message released the day she quit the long-running gab fest.

“You look awful good sitting in that chair, my Asian sister,” said Chen.

Inaba, who has served as a judge on ABC’s competition series Dancing with the Stars since its debut in 2005, said she’s happy to join the other ladies.

“Having the opportunity to sit at the table with Eve, Sara, Sharon and Sheryl has been such an enriching experience, and I’m honored and looking forward to joining them daily,” Inaba said. “It’s the authentic conversations and connection with the audience and the ladies that really drew me to The Talk. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this show.”

As RadarOnline.com has reported, Chen, 48, announced in Sept. that she was leaving the show, following her husband Les Moonves’ sexual harassment scandal.

“I have been at The Talk since the day it began,” Chen said in a pre-taped message on the CBS talk show Sept 18. “Right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and young son. So I have decided to leave The Talk.”

Former CBS CEO Moonves resigned from his position after several women came forward accusing him of sexual harassment. Just a few days before the end of the year, the CBS Board of Directors announced he was fired “for cause” and because of his egregious behavior he “will not receive any severance payment.”
