Britney Spears is putting everything on hold after her dad’s recent health crisis — even her new album.
Just days after the star announced she’d be taking an “indefinite work hiatus” due to Jamie Spears’ life-threatening colon rupture, Variety reported the pop diva has also delayed her latest musical project.
Justin Tranter, the executive producer on the singer’s next RCA Records release told the outlet that he is“beyond excited to be involved,” but declined to reveal when the music will finally be released.
RadarOnline.com readers know Britney, 37, postponed her Las Vegas residency and cancelled her upcoming concerts after her beloved dad was rushed to the hospital late last year.
This January 4, Britney apologized to fans for the cancelation, saying that her father “almost died” two months prior, and she had to remain by his side.
Though she has remained silent since, a source exclusively told RadarOnline.com this Tuesday that 66-year-old Jamie’s health is “deteriorating” and he is having many health complications stemming from his ruptured colon. Despite it all, his loved ones are staying positive and hoping for a full recovery.
