“Dying from eating oysters at 60 Wall Street. Vomit flying out of one end, shit flying out the other, sometimes at the same time. Simultaneous s**t/vomit for 5 days!” wrote the star, who played Cousin Eddie in the National Lampoon Vacation movies, on Nov. 6, which was election day.

“Thank God I voted early,” Randy adds.

The address Randy gives is for a New York office building, and it was not clear where exactly he ate the offending mollusks.

Randy, 68, had been scheduled to make some cold hard cash at Rhode Island Comic Con taking photos with fans for $60 a shot during the time he said he was not well. When he didn’t show up, fans posted comments on Facebook, some wondering why he didn’t make the event.

A spokeswoman finally let the fans know that he was sick, but didn’t offer any other details. The spokeswoman offered the same response when asked by RadarOnline.com.

Randy, the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid, is known for memorable roles in several successful and acclaimed films, including “Independence Day,” “Kingpin” and “The Last Detail,” the latter for which he received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor in 1973.

But his life went bizarre after struggling with legal and financial problems in recent years.

Randy became a conspiracy theorist, along with his wife Evi, running from “Hollywood Star Whackers.” The couple used only pay phones, spent nights in their car and at one point even sought asylum in Canada!
