On June 10, 2016, an assailant, Kevin James Loibl, shot Christina, 22, to death as she was signing autographs after she performed at The Plaza Live venue near downtown Orlando, Florida.

Her brother, Marcus wrestled Loibl to the ground but the stalker broke free and shot himself to death against a wall in a suicide after the murder.

An autopsy showed that Christina had been shot once in the head and twice in the chest. Her death was ruled a homicide. Her parents later claimed in legal papers that Christina's death was due to "cost cutting" in security.

The pretty singer was a competitor on season 6 of The Voice in 2014.

That same year, Christina, who previously had shot to fame on YouTube, told followers that her mother had survived breast cancer four times.

But more than two years after Christina's stunning death, her mom also passed away.

Her family called Tina a “powerful and shining example of motherhood” who was known for her “laugh, energy, passion and joyful spirit.”

The Grimmies have asked that in lieu of flowers, fans make a donation to the Christina Grimmie Foundation, which supports the families of gun violence victims.
