Celebrities and longtime friends gathered this weekend to honor late reality star Lyric McHenry.
In an emotional memorial service on Sunday, September 16, Stevie Wonder, Samuel L. Jackson and Magic Johnson paid tribute to the beloved film producer.
Empire star Jussie Smollett and pro boxer Sugar Ray Leonard were also present.
RadarOnline.com previously reported McHenry, 26, was found dead on a Bronx sidewalk last month, hours after celebrating her birthday at a New York nightclub with friends.
Lifelong friend EJ Johnson — with whom she starred in the show EJNY — took to Instagram to comment on her tragic death.
"I'm going to make this clear to everyone there will be no mourning post because I'm not going to reduce a 25yr friendship to 1 Instagram post," he wrote at the time.
McHenry was laid to rest in a private funeral this September 5 in her native Los Angeles.
"It was an intimate gathering for those closest to her," family spokesperson Edna Sims told RadarOnline.com exclusively, noting attendees were "those that knew her well, who loved her, and those who will truly miss her."
This Friday around 300 people showed up to McHenry's West Hollywood memorial service. Family members and close friends read touching messages to the fallen star, while others like Wonder and Senator Kamala Harris sent video tributes.
While Wonder could not attend because he is currently on tour, he made sure to send his condolences to McHenry's heartbroken family.
McHenry's mother, Jennifer, sobbed through the entire ceremony and hugged each of her friends after they paid tribute to her now-deceased daughter.
Unable to contain her tears, she asked longtime friend LaTanya Richardson-Jackson to read a letter she wrote to McHenry.
"You made proud Mama Bear moments a regular occurrence in the last 26 years," the letter read. "I adored being your Mother and I'll cry forever over losing you. Your friends are testifying their deep love for you and for causing 'life changing' and 'life saving' choices in their lives. It's been my proudest moments ever hearing these stories with tears streaming down their faces."
"I remember how fiercely you defended EJ in elementary school and continued into adulthood. I didn't realize you were passionately investing in so many lives that were saved and blossomed!" Jennifer continued in her letter.
Though drugs were found near the scene where Lyric McHenry died, her final cause of death has not been revealed.
