Bristol Palin's Ex Levi Johnston's Lawyer Sues Him For Custody Battle Legal Bills
Levi Johnston's attorney has slapped him with a lawsuit over legal bills he allegedly never paid in connection to his custody battle with Teen Mom OG star Bristol Palin, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, attorney Darryl L. Thompson, who represented Johnston in the child custody case, is suing Palin’s baby daddy for $12,982.50 in Alaska.
Thompson stated in the affidavit, “That, despite demand, the Defendant has and continues to refuse to pay to the Plaintiff the amount due and owing and, as such, the Plaintiff is entitled to a judgement against the defendant for the amount of legal services rendered and date unpaid.”
Thompson is also seeking interest, attorney’s fees and other costs related to his suit against Johnston, 28.
The attorney represented Johnston in the custody case with Palin, now 27, over the former couple’s son, Tripp.
Palin was only 17 years old when she announced her pregnancy with Johnston. Her mother Sarah stunned the country by getting selected as John McCain's vice presidential candidate at the time. Her unmarried daughter and Johnston appeared at the 2008 Republican National Convention.
But Palin and Johnston split in March 2009. After more than a year of public feuding, however, they then announced that their wedding was back on. But on the same day of the announcement, Johnston told the Governor's daughter that he might have gotten another woman pregnant!
The two were then involved in a nasty custody battle over Tripp, now 9.
When it was over in 2016, Johnston, 27, posted on Facebook, “I’m so happy to have my son in my life, and to put all of this back and forth in the courts behind me. It might have taken me 7 years and cost me around $100,000 in lawyer fees, spread out among 3 different lawyers, as well as a lot of patience, but it was all worth it. I’m happy now to be successfully co-parenting.”
Johnston is currently married to Sunny Oglesby, with whom he shares daughters Breeze and Indy.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, sources say Johnston and his wife will appear on Teen Mom OG with Palin.
Palin settled her own custody war with husband Dakota Meyer, as RadarOnline.com reported. Palin and Meyer filed court documents in Alaska on April 20, 2018, alerting the judge that they had “reached a custody and parenting agreement in mediation” regarding daughter Sailor.
